Expertise and Experience
Jayne is a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist. She is a Registered Social Worker and holds membership with the BABCP.
Jayne is experienced in working with clients of all ages - adults, children and adolescents. She provides assessment and therapeutic intervention from a cognitive behavioural therapy approach and brings additional skills the Theraplay and Compassion Focused Therapy . Jayne is experienced working with a range of common psychological issues including depression, anxiety, social anxiety, self harm, separation anxiety, body dysmorphia, phobias, obsessive/compulsive problems and trauma.
Jayne worked with children, young people and parents in social care settings for 12 years, including children with autism, ADHD / ADD, children in local authority care and those who have been adopted. Jayne has worked in an NHS CAMHS team and continues to work in the NHS in a secondary care adult community mental health team as a cognitive behavioural therapist, specialising in trauma informed practice.
Qualifications
2009- Bachelor of Arts in Combined Social Sciences (BA Hons), 2:1. Durham University
2011- Masters of Science in Social Work (MSc), with commendation, University of Bedfordshire.
2017- Post Graduate Certificate in Advanced Social Work Practice (PGCert), with distinction, University of Coventry
2022 – Post Graduate Diploma Evidence-based Psychological Treatment for C&YP (CBT route), with merit, University of Reading
