Veronica Dunckley
Yogalise
Hi, I'm Veronica. I'm a Yoga and Hypnobirthing teacher, a Primary School Teacher and an adoring mum of two girls, based in Northamptonshire. I feel really passionate about sharing my love of yoga with people from all walks of life and to people of all ages.
I began my own yoga practice as a teenager when I discovered its benefits in keeping me calm during exam preparation.
In 2015, I took the plunge and completed my 200 hours Yoga teacher training in Goa, India with a traditional Hatha practice. Since becoming a mother, my yoga practise has evolved to using fluid, energising movements with nurturing moments to pause and reflect. I feel especially drawn to guiding people during pregnancy and postnatally as it's such an exciting and life changing time.
I’m excited to bring Pregnancy Yoga to Cedar Grove Clinic. I also run full antenatal Hypnobirthing classes, Baby Massage, Parent and Baby Yoga, Toddler Yoga and Adult Yoga in the local area.
Pregnancy Yoga
Pregnancy is such a unique and wonderful time. I am excited to share how yoga can help you to keep calm and connected to your baby, feel energised and more positive during your pregnancy and when giving birth. Beginners to yoga are very welcome to join us.
We will use flowing sequences to develop your strength and stamina. These movements can help to ease discomfort in the pelvis or back and keep you upright and active. Many of these poses are a great way to help your baby move into an optimal birthing position and can be wonderful birthing positions too.
We will explore different breathing techniques which are a powerful way to ease away any anxieties or difficult sensations and pregnant people often report that they are the most useful tool when giving birth. At the end of every session, you will enjoy a blissfully soothing relaxation (often the most popular part!).
Whether you are new to yoga or a regular practitioner, everyone is welcome to join this friendly and relaxed class. It's highly beneficial for any kind of birth plan. We start every class with an informal chat so you can start to create supportive mum mates.
